Head chef Denzil Fernandes’s mission is to showcase organic Irish produce through modern international cuisine – a mix of eastern and western techniques blended into an Irish style. Behind it all, the focus is on the quality of the ingredients, harnessed to highlight seasonality.

The Hawthorn opens for breakfast and dinner and serves modern classics alongside more innovative, healthy options, all driven by local provenance. A well-priced, accessible wine list takes in European classics and New World favourites with a nod to Irish winemakers worldwide, while a selection of the cocktails found at the bar is also available in the restaurant to complement the bijou aperitif served on arrival.
The Hawthorn Terrace, heated in cooler months, provides an outdoor space seamlessly integrated into the main restaurant’s elegant aesthetic for al fresco dining and drinks. As well as classic and more experimental cocktails, its bar pours from some of Dublin’s breweries are on tap – paying further homage to the region’s local craft and produce.
